Norma Trolinder grew up in these rolling plains of Texas where Cotton was king.  From sharecropper's daughter to reknowned cotton research scientist she never forgot her roots.  Retirement was just the next phase and soon the Old Gin was renovated into a local business, this time housing interesting facts about cotton for it's guests to enjoy while travelling the US in their RVs.  Norma fully retired and sold the RV Park to a local couple who are now continuing the business and enjoying people from all walks of life.

THE GIN

STEP BACK IN TIME when families, eager with anticipation, loaded horse-drawn wagons with cotton and headed for the "Gin".  A time when friends and family gathered 'round a potbelly stove in the local General Store to visit, gossip, politic and "yarn up a tall tale".  A time when life seemed to roll at a slow pace. Please visit us at OLE TOWNE COTTON GIN RV PARK, where we've "ROLLED BACK TIME".

OLE TOWNE COTTON GIN RV PARK is located just off Highway 287, between Quanah and Childress in Goodlett Texas. Nestled in the "Rolling Prairie" region of Texas, the Park offers up a taste of small town life on the prairie. The area is resplendent in its beauty, vistas and has a unique history, one that is rich in many cultures.
